what started as a routine traffic stop turned into something special for a family who has fallen on rough times

ROSSFORD, Ohio (WTVG) – What started as a routine traffic stop turned into something special for a family who has fallen on rough times.

While on patrol Wednesday, City of Rossford Police Officer Mark Skala, noticed two children in a vehicle unsecured in a car seat.

“I was conducting traffic stops out on the interstate and observed a vehicle go by that had four children in it, and noticed that two of them were not in child restraints,” said Skala, an 18 year veteran with the department.

Cop Forgot DashCam Was Rolling

When this state trooper realized this man was dying from a drug overdose, he saved his life in the most heroic way… and the heroic rescue was all caught on a dash cam! This video reminded me that good officers still exist.

When Maine State Police Trooper, Doug Cropper, returned with a ticket for a driver he pulled over for speeding, he noticed the driver was turning blue and wasn’t breathing. Genuinely concerned for the driver’s life, Cropper immediately pulled him out of the car and started performing CPR.

Ocala police officers wonderful act of kindness

Citizens have no way of knowing what types of dangers or monsters a law enforcement officer encounters on a daily basis.

The disrespect toward officers that Ocala Post witnessed following shots being fired from a neighborhood near the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion on July 12 was just one example of what law enforcement endure every day.

As of lately, it seems that the public’s perception of law enforcement across the county is that all law enforcement officers are badge-wearing criminals.

It is also not surprising that some media outlets have played a significant role in helping the public form that perception.

12 Year old pulled over by Thrall Police Officer for no License in Hot Wheels Truck

On a quiet street in Texas, Sierra and Bryce Koehne can usually be found riding around in their six-month-old Ford F150 Hot Wheels truck.

“They pretty much ride it every day that we’re home,” Sierra and Bryce’s mother Erin Koehne said.

Luckily, the streets in the small town are safe enough for kids to play in and around most of the time.

“Thrall is a really nice community. There are cops always patrolling this area, so you really feel secure,” Erin said.

Cop Prevents Citizens from Being Searched, ‘I Swore An Oath to the Constitution’

A video from the 4th of July was uploaded to Facebook this week and is quickly going viral. The reason it’s going so viral is that it appears to show a police officer being particularly adamant about upholding the rights of citizens.

In the brief video, it appears that two security guards were either detaining and/or about to search people. According to the officer, the people were simply on their own property watching fireworks and did not deserve to be harassed.

“There is a constitution that I swear an oath to, so don’t freaking mess with it with these citizens. Do you understand me? I know you aren’t subjected to the constitution when it comes to your job, but don’t mess with it,” says the cop, shockingly.

Sarah Robinson said she had never done anything like that before and this time, she got caught.

“Of course I’m not real good at the criminal thing,” she said.

Her six girls are ages 16, 15, 12, four and two year old twins. Her two year old twin daughters desperately needed diapers.

Officer Good Deed after Rescue Call

NEW BRAUNFELS — A panicked 911 rescue turned into a gift for a little girl in New Braunfels, thanks to the generosity of a police officer.

Lohgan Shroyer was riding her bike on Monday when she managed to trap her leg between the pedal and frame, going down in pain.

“My girlfriend came running in screaming, ‘Chad, emergency!’” her father, Chad Shroyer, recalled.

Chad said they tried everything to remove her leg, even applying Vaseline. But the harder they tried, the more it put her in pain, so they called 911.
